Trail blaze with me?

Dear Practitioners,

We’re approaching 4 years of virtual yoga. And I am so proud of what we’ve done. Yes, I mean WE, as in you and me, because you provide the fuel for exploring, experimenting and teaching. Whether you’re in class every week, practice through the virtual library, read these writings from another country, or follow along on instagram. You are part of the team.

Through the virtual world, a true school has emerged. We’re overflowing with educational resources. The Virtual Library has hundreds of classes plus dozens of workshops, lectures, and webinars. Practice Poise has tutorials and sequences for major alignment principles. We’ve hosted world class teachers like Doctor of PT Trina Mann, Coach Cass Garvin, and Pelvic Floor Specialist Lori Metroka Yu. We’ve developed mini-courses for multi-dimensional practice, breathing better, and knowing your nervous system. We have a life changing Immersion program.

I’m delighted. But. But… there is a persistent stain on this tapestry of resources. A snag in the system. A tangle of technology I can’t sort out. The material is not being used enough. And I started to ask some of you why. I’ve found that it boils down to teeeny tiny inconveniences. So small, you feel like they shouldn’t bother you…. But they do. In fact, they stop you. Like forgetting your password. Not being able to see as much on your phone. No way to track what you’ve already done, what’s new, or get back to something you loved. No guidance through the courses. No way to know what’s right for you, right now…

With these conversations, I’ve become very impressed with the elaborate systems you’ve developed. Virtual Library spreadsheets. A browser dedicated to Kanda. Notebooks with your own codes for classes. Remarkable! Dedicated! And wow! I need to make it easier for you! To do the practices and share the practices. To track your progress. To document your experiences. To send me questions. To GROW! To be confident in what you’re doing and why.

I wish I was in your back pocket. That your favorite sequence was a tap away. That you could send me pictures of your poses. That I could send you voice memos of notes. That courses were an elegantly guided journey. That new material was easy to find and recognize. That practice was so convenient, so powerful, it was hard NOT to do.

As the vision grew, I started poking around at what an App could do. And I saw not only solutions but possibilities. Ways to support your practice that would be a dream come true.

So. Here we go. A new frontier of technology. Want to blaze the trail with me? I’m looking for a handful of Founding Members. You’ll be the first to participate in a 30-day challenge to Make Practice Miraculous. You’ll test all the features of the App. There will coaching calls to personalize your practice. Your experience will create a clearer path for all those who follow.

This is a unique offering that will only be available during development. There will be an investment, but it’s relatively small (compared to what’s included) because we’re exploring and experimenting.

I’ve said that Israel put fire in my heart. And it’s the fire to live into something I’ve always believed: that practice can be life-changing and world-shifting. And it does that through consciousness. Which requires consistent and wide spread practice. My hope is that the App will be a tool for that.

So.

If you love the raw energy of beginnings,

If being a Founding Member plucks at your heart strings,

If you want to contribute to developing the App,

If you want resources that are easier-to-access,

If prescribed practice, alignment assessments, and coaching calls sound rich and rewarding,

If you want to be living proof that practice is miraculous….

This is for you.

Leave a comment below and I’ll send more details.

May your practice put fire in your heart,

Alison
